Baby Cape-Cotton Pique With Broderie Anglaise, Lace-Late 1800s / Early 1900s

Victorian, Edwardian White Broderie Anglaise Lace Baby Size Cape.

Dating from the late 19th / Early 20th century this very pretty cape would have been worn by a young baby but is now ideal for use as a period dolls costume.

It has a large lined and frilled collar and is decorated with white work feather stitch and closed with a small round cloth button and loop. 
There are also two tape ties to one side of the neck edge  - unsure as to their purpose, unless you tie them with the loop if you do not want to use the button? 
The material is a light weight pique fabric edged with a deep broderie anglaise cotton frill.

Measurements:
Neck edge - approx. 11.25"  
Length - approx 26"

Pre-owned & used.
Excellent used condition - just needs a few stitches to the inner edge of the collar lining as per photo.

Nice display / practical piece, or authentic period prop for stage or media.
