Made in England. Studio Szeiler logo backstamp to base.

About Studio Szeiler:

Joseph Szeiler was born in Hungary during 1924. Due to the political situation, he left Budapest in 1948, eventually settling in England.

Following his move to England he started working in the pottery industry and in 1951 he opened his own pottery, Studio Szeiler, in Staffordshire. Here he produced a range of small pottery animals and figurines from his own moulds which have become world famous.  

Joseph Szeiler died in 1980  and the Pottery was subsequently renamed The Moorland Pottery during the mid 1980s
